Chinese Metal Anode version  Amperex Graphite Anode Version

The metal anode version has folded cooling fins. Notice the control grid (below, right) has vertical, not the more usual horizontal, elements. The graphite anode (above, right) appears pale grey due to its titanium coating. This is the getter and only functions at high temperatures so the valve should be operated at full rated anode dissipation for some hours before being put into service.

The base is a giant 5-pin.
