DG10LI Vacuum Fluorescent Number Tube
The last character of the type designator may
be a '1' or an 'I'.
Vacuum fluorescent tubes
are thermionic triodes with multiple phosphor
coated anodes. The honeycomb mesh is the control
grid, The filament is barely visible as a fine
vertical line.
This example shows strangely shaped anodes which
were intended to produce an easier to read display.
Notice that it has eight segments, so this is not a
seven segment display!
