This bug is common on Welwitschia mirabilis. They get a sugary substance from both male and female flowers. It is also a pest of the Baobab, Adansonia digitata. The nymphs are bright red, with much less distinct dark spots. Here are two adults mating among the flowers of a female Welwitschia.
