Mammals - Birds - Insects

We saw lots of wildlife. The great majority was in the Etosha National Park but there were many wild animals elsewhere. Early in our holiday we went to Bagatelle and went on a game drive. We saw a good selection of animals but the lessons Korne, our guide, taught us on how to look for and at wildlife were invaluable. Bagatelle is thoroughly recommended - good food, good animals and really welcoming and informative guides.

Birds

Birds in Namibia were much tamer than in the U.K. Every campsite had many, attracted by the presence of water, I think.

Insects

Namibia has relatively few insects at night, at least in the winter. A bright light outside at night attracted almost none. There were beetles and scorpions and some day flying insects. Termites were almost everywhere.
